Steve Borden, a retired American professional wrestler, known by his ring name Sting, is celebrated for his iconic presence in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). Debuting in 1985, he quickly rose to fame, becoming WCW’s “Franchise,” with six WCW World Heavyweight Championships and notable rivalries, including Hulk Hogan. After WCW’s acquisition by WWE, Sting joined TNA, adding four TNA World Heavyweight Championships to his accolades. He finally joined WWE in 2014, where he had his first match at WrestleMania 31. Sting concluded his illustrious career with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in 2024, retiring as a tag team champion alongside Darby Allin. Across his career, Borden held 26 championships and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2016.
