Budd is a cartoonist and creator of the independent comic book Cavewoman, published by Root’s company Basement Comics/Amryl Entertainment. Root’s one-shot Cavewoman: Jungle Tales, was nominated for a 1999 Ignatz Award for Outstanding Story and he is one of the premiere contemporary “good girl” artists, with an art style similar to Art Adams.
